| QUOTE (ClaudeGiroux @ 10/11/2010, 01:58) Interesting double trade going on, basically: Monterey sacrifice 0.7m of cap and a garbage overpaid center to switch Phoenix goalies (13th in the West) with Montreal goalies (3rd in the East). Rate A- (Montreal wont keep winning so often probably, but it makes sense) California saves 0.5m of cap just by switching two useless players. Rate A And Denver gets raped, sure they get a very good goalie (playing in a 4-5-5 team though), but they give away Price (he is winning games, isnt he?), an interesting dman and a player who is producing for Scott "couldnt hit the net if it was the size of a barn" Gomez. Well they also save 0.2m of cap. Rate D- (Phoenix might improve a bit) I'm kinda amazed, but whatever... Why don't you fuck off for a little while. If I need your valued opinion for anything, I'll put your contact information on speed-type. Until then, stop critiquing my moves while your on the side-lines watching your goalies lose their starting jobs. QUOTE (TheDominator @ 10/11/2010, 07:21) i don't understand the attraction of a guy like scott gomez
the guy is completely useless Believe me, I didn't want him and to give up Plekanec as well. But, I like stud goalies a lot and Bryzgalov has a 3 year contract. I had to make some huge sacrifices. But, they were sacrifices I were willing to make. At least Gomez can still win some faceoffs and that buys me some time until he gets his scoring touch back again. I have Howard and Miller who can share goaltending duties with Bryzgalov and that buys me some time until Bryzgalov and the Coyotes can maybe find their groove again (i.e. when Doan comes back). In any event, Bryzgalov is also making a ton of saves right now and has a good save percentage. He also has only lost 2 games in regulation this year as well.
